Swell is a snarky, aloof Abberation that washed ashore one day (the others thought she was a dead sea creature). She didn't necessarily join the clan, she's just taking advantage of the fact that these guys don't seem interested in kicking her out.

She claims to earn her keep by scaring away potential interlopers, but mostly she just sunbathes, swims, and skulks around the beach.


Swell is a single-minded Aberration, and she cannot be bothered to explain the rich intricacies of how that works to you. Or she'd love to brag about how cool she is. Depends on her mood. She talks with a single head, except when she wants to be intimidating (which is a lot of the time).

As a Wyrmwound Abberation, she's a lot older than she acts. Swell has deeply conflicted feelings on the Plaguebringer and getting dunked, and she's still working a lot of those feelings out.

Her wings are too damaged to fly, but she's a pretty good swimmer. Swell loves to swim. Sometimes the Plague dragon in her just wants to fight the waves in a battle of wills and stamina, but recently her dives have become more methodical and meditative. Either way, she finds she prefers the cool, clear ocean to the literal soup she was submerged in for centuries.


Miranda was the first dragon to find her- and the one who poked her with their staff and asked if she was alright. Their unflappable nature and affinity for the ocean mean Swell tolerates them more than most.

Sometimes, she swims all the way to a coastal village of dragons and beastclan. She likes hanging out there, but all the artwork of some "local being of legend" bothers her in a way she can't quite put her talon on...
