Biography

FV warriors

Manta - Harbinger ~ Shane - Deadly ~ HRH Happy - Legacy ~ Current - Legacy
Coral Reef - Lions/Village

Hmm, your level 15 warrior can switch to a Rainbow Beach Ball at level 16, which may be an improvement. It gives stats (for harder hitting) instead of mitigation/resistances (which the CPGS has), and in my experience it hits harder.

What will help even more at that point is to level up the Beach Ball to 130% with Spookleberry Gummi Wickerbeasts and Hot Cocoa Fairies. Hopefully your Earthen Glaive is already at 130%.

With the current festival items, you can at least get it to 120% even if you are out of HC Fairies.

If you have any really good crystals to put in, that can make it better... however since it costs 150K FC to remove a crystal if you later find a better one, it's best to make sure you really have good crystals. I may have some suggestions to offer there.

Oh, this will help: Put a Utility crystal: Spectral into each of their Mat hats. That will give them Ethereal status and better dodge rates, so they don't get hit as often. Those are dropping in the event battlegrounds.

Those should be reasonable in the stalls, but if not, I can trade some to you.

If you have another Rainbow Shield to equip on your level 8 guy that will help, but maybe he's not really challenged enough to need it?

Once your lower level guys are at level 10, they can use the CPGS and better armour, and both should probably use Rainbow Shields from level 8 onward if you want to take them to the Event Battlegrounds.

I suggest putting a Talenti's Tome on your level 15 guy for a shield. That will give him some healing every round as well as doing some extra damage to enemies.

It sounds like what you need most is more damage capability, if the event battleground battles take more than about 2-3 hits for most of the enemies.

I always hit with the Mat Hat first to soften the enemy up (then they can't dodge, and will have some afflictions that give damage every round as well as messing up their defenses);. For the toughest enemies that can be really irritating (Doctor Ido, Elliott, Ashgaroth (maybe spelled differently) and Gizzel) I hit them with Mat Hat first, immediately followed by Peaches' Poison amulet, which gives them Deadly Poison status for larger amounts of damage over time.

I also equipped everyone with (don't laugh) a Dapper Chicken Battle Buddy in the extra weapon slot. I see you have extras in your armoury, and the Compressed Air isn't much benefit in the event battlegrounds (yes, it increases speed and agility, but you should be fine if you can damage the enemies quickly enough and have good armour and shield).

That little rooster can hit for over 2000 damage sometimes, and having him randomly pecking away at the enemy's health can really help. Since this benefit is completely passive, you can just focus on hitting them with your weapon while your DCBB does his best to help you.

So again: First turn use Mat Hat, then Peaches's Poison for the tougher enemies that usually take a long time to beat, then hit them with your best damage weapon... and let the Dapper Chicken help you bring 'em down.

I'm sure I'll think of more to add, but sending this now in hopes you can get started with some upgrades. ;)

I hope this helps!

P.S. I'm not using any crystals in the Beach Balls that I'm using in the Event Battlegrounds. I just leveled them all up to between 120 and 130% (I had some HC Fairies in storage), and even the ones with 100% Beach Balls are doing fine as well.

So don't worry about crystals for now. Just leveling up your main damage weapons should help.

Also, looking at one of my regular (level 16) Warriors just now:

I have Rainbow Beach Ball, Matsune and Dapper Chicken BB equipped in the 3 weapon slots.

That way I have constant healing as well as extra battle help.

Of course your level 20+ warrior is best to keep the Faeli's Kitsune in the extra weapon slot, for maximum damage capability, so having a Talenti's Tome shield may be more useful than the Rainbow Shield to help deal some additional damage (and it gives some healing as well).

Also, the Dapper Chicken BB gives more agility than the Compressed Air does, so it could help you dodge better as well.

Really, I only need the Compressed Air in the Legacy Grounds to beat the guy with the Golden Anvil (Tristan?), so I have replaced those with the Battle Chicken for now.

——-

Hmm, for shields I just go with the highest percentage (%) on the type that I want.

Depending on needs, I've either gone with Endurance (Rainbow Shield) or special attributes like extra damage and healing (Talenti's Tome).

Other than that, you can look at resistances and mitigation, and whether it has a Block charge (which I hardly ever use anymore). I just use Talenti's Tome and Rainbow Shield now, so if there are better ones I haven't yet learned about them.

I think I read about a superior buckler, but I'll need to look that up... let me see if I can find it...

——-

Another thing that may help to give you an edge is installing Secret Spiders (after the Spectral Crystal) in your Mat Hats.

If you have anything that is giving the enemy Dark damage (weapon and/or Poison and/or Talenti's Tome) this will help them do more damage by lowering the enemy's Dark resistance.

I've been testing it on the Harbinger and it seems to help.

——-

Allrighty, tea is steeping...

Here is what I would do if I had the EQ that I think you currently have:

Give Manta a big treat, and while he is happily munching swap the Earthen Glaive, Flowering Hammer and other weapon (as well as his Spell Siphon Amulet) for a Rainbow Beach Ball (it's nice if you level it up to 120% with Gummis, but that's not necessary... my guys with 100% Beach Balls are doing fine), a Dapper Chicken BB and a Matsune for steady healing.

Give him a Peaches' Poison Amulet if you can, but if not an Amulet of Destruction will also help (AFTER you hit the enemy with a Mat Hat so they can't dodge it).

Give the level 11 guy the Earthen Glaive and Flowering Hammer, and the Spell Siphon Amulet, as well as equipping him with a Mat Hat. (He won't need the Matsune with the SS Amulet, so put a Dapper Chicken BB in the third weapon slot and equip a Mat Hat as the utility.)

Eventually it's nice if all your guys have Peaches' Poison amulets, but mine got by with an Amulet of Destruction before I got enough PPAs for everyone. (They all needed Mat Hats though. Otherwise the enemies are often just too well defended.)
You MIGHT squeak by with just adding a Mat Hat to your level 11 guy, as that will keep the enemy from dodging and will make them less well defended, but it will still be muxh slower going than if you had a better damage weapon.

And Manta should do great with the RBB of DOOM.

Hopefully you upgraded the level 11 guy's armor to something with good endurance. For a shield, maybe give him a Rainbow Shield and let your higher level guys use Talenti's Tome. That way he'll have lots of HP and should be fine, especially with Spell Siphon.

I don't know every detail of every Warrior's setup, but from what you told me I think that will work so that your top 3 Warriors can all handle the event battlegrounds.

And if you get your level 15 guy to 16 soon, he can equip your second Beach Ball so that your lowest level guy can equip a Crystalline Prism Greatsword at level 10.

With a little careful gear juggling, they should all be able to handle the event battlegrounds by level 10.
~~~
Silly me (no tea yet!) I forgot that Manta has the Faeli's Kitsune. Definitely keep that to add to his attack power. Then if you don't really need the extra healing of the Matsune, add a Dapper Chicken or try out your Timber Wolf in the 3rd weapon slot.
Timber wolf has less chance to inflict damage than the Dapper Chicken (40% vs. 50%) but where he might shine is in those longer battles with Doctor Ido and Elliott where the Mat Hat anti-dodge wears off after a few rounds.
The Timber Wolf supposedly reduces dodge chance by 70% throughout the battle.
So that's an alternative to the Battle Chicken for Manta's 3rd weapon slot.
I have my Battle Chicken in the last weapon slot so that (on a full size screen) he is standing behind my Warrior, striking from the shadows... Which works well on the dark background of the event battlegrounds :D
LEVEL 0-5:
Sawfish Blade
Incredibly Deadly Serpent
Rusted Battle Moo
Blazing Comet Amulet
Bronze Ring
Worn Sash (utility slot) or Worn Hood if you don't have one of those
Simple Robes
Manta Shield
AT LEVEL 5 YOU CAN UPGRADE A LITTLE:
Stronger Battle Moo?
Silver Ring or Royal Coral Ring (better)
Simple Sash
Destruction Amulet (can one-shot most enemies)
Not sure if there is anything else to add until level 10 but you can check around. This is a tricky phase, and I suggest you just stick to the QP battlegrounds until you can really handle the other enemies easily.
