Onyx

Onyx was once a servant of the shadow realm dragons serving faithfully in darkness. One day the ice goddess Shiva sent her familiar as an emissary there to gather items. Onyx fell in love with her beauty and helped her gather items from the realm as she needed. Eventually they had to meet in secret to see each other. When the goddess Shiva found them out she threw a curse of crystallization at him only to have her familiar shield and protect him from it at the last instant. All were overcome by grief as her familiar had become pure ice. Onyx stepped forward ready to accept any punishment Shiva decided. Thus she placed the ice crystal curse upon him also, and with broken heart exiled them from the ice realm. With no where to go they found themselves at the ocean, thier tears falling into the rising tide. Before them appeared the Tide Lord overcome by the grief he felt in their tears he offered a place for them to stay and live in peace and happiness.
