~Golem or God?~
In the deepest tundra, where only the most savage or powerful can sustain themselves... Hatchings are often left to cruel and unusual fates by circumstance. Often, a child meant to be beloved finds themselves alone by no fault of their own or their parents... In this twisted, backwards way of living, some also find ways to overcome such different circumstances. They become savage creatures just the same as their prey and predators, changing back into the animals historians claim dragon kind to have come from. Some find refuge in magic, or extended flight simply to escape. But for an unlucky, deep-tinted spiral meant for dusk and dawn's muted light? No savagery came, no magics at his clawtips and no reason to leave the homeland. No understanding of what might lie outside. Well- that red trail dotting the snow may be the true reason for why the adolescent still could never leave... The blood of wounds unhealing and unhealthy, as the spiral claws his way up into a tree scarcely large enough to hold him out of harm's way to lick his wounds once again. The ill-fit weren't meant to survive for long... Until. Until he had a simple idea; keep the blood in with snow. The freezing cold lasts forever, right? And he had icy breath like any other ice dragon... After standing vigil for a few hours, he slithered back down and grabbed clawfuls of snow, hissing in cold shock at he pack it into the claw and teeth marks that marred his scales. The numbing came after and soothed the initial burn; he worked as quickly as he could, smoothing the snow to lie flat on him as the night grew colder and colder. His icy breath then too, was numb. Numb to him as it sealed the snow in place, eternal snow with biologically magic ice. What he didn't know... Was that the quote of eternal? Oh, that was a truth that couldn't be denied... As the sealings stayed as permanent as the blizzards and icebergs of that same tundra. Partially constructed of ice and unfeeling of any cold, there remains only one question: What gave him the power to change his biology so?
