“Farewell, my kin. May your wings take you far, far away from these pits of Hell and into the great world beyond. You are a wind dragon at heart, you must make the journey I cannot. Pride yourself this, let nothing drag you down to the stony confines of the earth like what had been done to me.

Go, my child. Go see the world for yourself. Do not return here, there is nothing left but ashes and misery.”

And fly he did, far away from the ash, the smoke, the ice. Across mountains and valleys he soared, over the empty plains of the Sunbeam Ruins and the dense forests of the Viridian Labyrinth. To stop was to break the promise to his father, so stop he did not, until his wings gave out and he fell back to the earth.
