Biography

Bane (right-hand head) and Hollow (left-hand head) are a young Aberration twin set, who left their home clan to adventure outside it shortly after hatching. Their parents made no effort to find and rescue them. Bane is the bolder and more outgoing of the two, but is prone to narcolepsy. Hollow is wiser and more cautious, but struggles socially. While many Aberrations choose to battle for dominance over their shared bodies, Bane and Hollow are among those who choose to work together as a team instead. The pair are able to compromise and reason with each other at an earlier age than most other hatchlings, and have developed incredible negotiation skills, alongside diversion tactics and a private language.

The Escape

Bane scanned the area. The coast was clear. Nudging his brother, Hollow, he pointed to the nearby crevice. With a nod, Hollow looked to the skies, his third eye sharp and focused. The pair scampered across the narrow space between the bone spires, taking refuge in the crack in one large spire. Turning to look over one shoulder, Bane looked back at the Rim. There was no sign of their parents, or any of their other siblings. Good, they were free! Free at last to explore on their own. Setting out, the duo were blissfully unaware that they were being watched, by a creature far larger, and far stronger than they were.

The lumbering Gaoler made no sound as he slowly followed the curious hatchling. He could smell no Shade or undeath on the creature, nor could he smell parents or other dragons nearby. He resigned himself to watching, and continued to crouch in silence, hidden behind a massive bone spire. The small hatchling he was watching was a dusty brown ball of feathers and spikes, to the point where he did not recognize the breed. He crept closer to get a better look...

Hollow stopped sharply, his third eye swiveling around wildly. He KNEW he saw something behind them. Urging his brother to dart back toward the crevice they had previously hidden in, he collided with a massive, furry leg. Craning his neck to look up, he stared momentarily in awe at what could only be a colossal hairy monster. Bristling, Bane and Hollow hissed and snarled, doing their best to make themselves look bigger and fiercer, hoping it would intimidate this giant.

He was overall amused by this hatchling's attempt to intimidate him. It reminded him of a young kitten, hissing at something that startled it. He remarked to himself that this hatchling had two heads, something that intrigued him. Gently, he picked up the thrashing hatchling by a scruff, and took it back with him.

Bane and Hollow were allowed to live in the Wastewander Clan, where they went on to learn from and grow into modern dragon society. The duo were taught basic Draconic, but can also speak Beastclan and Coatl, as well as their own private language, made for communicating in battle. When not traveling with the Wastewander Clan, Bane and Hollow are highly self sufficient, and can survive almost anything by themselves, depending solely on each other.
