  The earliest thing Esida remembers is opening her eyes on the shore of the channel between the southern Flights’ territories. With no memory of her past, no belongings besides a name and an ornate bracelet, and a mind clouded by confusion and fear, she secured herself a place on a smuggling vessel bound for the Sunbeam Ruins. The merchant Kelissach spied her in the city and took her under his wing, giving her a pleasant place to stay and anything she could want. Although she appreciated his generosity, her desire for her memories and sense of self outweighed anything that sat on display in his expansive lair. So the pair set off to seek anyone who could help Esida regain her life, and ended up in Sideris after over a year of fruitless attempts. She was a willing lab rat for the Violet Water. However, now that the Violet Water has been lost she has much less hope in ever recovering her memories and knowledge of her past life. While Kelissach remains more optimistic, she has taken up a more active role in the new Sideris-on-Riverbank clan to move forward into the future and stop fighting for remnants of an unknown past. She assists Valentina in the organization and upkeep of the inn, but is always willing to do odd jobs to help other clanmates as well. Esida is not the typical Pearlcatcher that her mate is; where he is vain, she is humble and caring for her clanmates. She sees the clan as a delightfully exciting home, loving the dynamic of the motley dragons that make up its population. Her clear, ringing laughter is a very common sound within the lair, and she is a go-to dragon for resolving disputes as a mediator.
