Isabela
Cowdragon
Isabela was the result of a failed raid. His parents were wealthy coatl's who owed a fair deal of treasure. Hunters came in the night and stole away his entire family. He could hear his captors from the sack where he was trapped, they spoke of how the hatchlings would be sold off in the morning to the highest bidder. Though he was young, Isabela knew he had to escape. He heard a voice whisper in his ear, promising freedom in exchange for ten years of servitude. The voice said he'd help the poor and save the innocent. Isabela agreed. His sack unraveled instantly and he fell to the ground, arms still bound together. He was stuck in the Frigid Floes. The voice never spoke to him again, but would occasionally send dreams of a dragon in need. He eventually broke his restraints but never took off the cuffs and kept them as a reminder. He wandered the Floes for years, becoming a cowdragon and loving the job. As he grew older, the target on his back grew as well. For safety, he went into hiding for a year. But he still had two years of servitude. He knew the Icewarden's domain was no longer safe for him. Forras located him, searching for a skilled dragon that could help the den, and convinced Isabela with her cunning words and proof of the safety the den could provide. Isabela agreed.
Isabela is gruff but considerate. He has very little and loves it that way. He tells amazing tales of adventure to younger dragons and encourages them to be self-sufficient and smart with their treasure. He never searches for his parents or siblings, he assumes they are dead. Some dragons say they see a violet aura surrounding him, looming over his head with its gnarled bones. He never sees it.
