With danger at their doorstep, the founders of the Twilight Clan set out to put a stop to it, leaving their young ones behind to stay safe while they fought long and hard. The three were the strongest members of the clan, they knew in their hearts they would be able to not only hold their own but put a stop to the enemy that stood before them. This enemy... a clan formed of dragons corrupted by the Shade's influence.

The beginning of the battle was signaled by the barbaric screech of one of the darkened dragons, immediately followed by a ball of dark energy launched from its mouth. The two forces collided. Even outnumbered 3 to 1 by their enemy, the dragons of the Twilight Clan were able to hold their own for the most part; however it was clear it was an unwinnable battle, their numbers proving too strong. The battle lasted for hours with neither side taking too much damage, but even though they would be able to take down a few, they would never be able to down all of the dark dragons.

After some time, Shoushi was able to strike the first blood, taking down a female dragon with beige markings, later to be called Kiriume. This victory was a small one, but one that could barely be celebrated, it has taken nearly all his strength to take her down. When she was slain, it was clear just how deep the darkness ran. Her body dissolved into a black dust and evaporated into the air, almost as if she'd never existed at all.
