Adventurer | Flight instructor
Stormy's breeding partner, but not romantic interest. Stormy lost his wife Tohu in a huge storm that hit the clan. He became utterly depressed in his grief, so Nightsky (the leader of the clan) went to nearby clans to look for someone to keep Stormy company. Not to replace Tohu, just to cheer him up.
Nagendra wanted her own adventure, dispite her parents' wishes. To get away from them, she decided to take Nightsky's offer and moved here. She had no interest in Stormy, but she did try to cheer him up. However their personality was polar opposites and couldn't find a single common topic or activity.
One night Nagendra returned from her adventures and looked unusually quiet. Stormy noticed it and asked her what's wrong. Nagendra shook her head and ploped down on a soft rug.
"Actually..." after a few minutes of silence the Banescale girl started talking half to herself, half to Stormy.
She opened up and told him she is struggling with her attraction for female dragons. She was scared people will find her weird or gross. But Stormy didn't judge her at all, he just listened as Nagendra poured her heart out.
"I met a really cute dragon today, we had a great time. We went to have a picnic deep into the forest. But we almost got caught by a gatherer dragon working nearby. We had to pretend we were fighting. I don't know why we thought it was a good idea... we had no time to think." She sighed and lowered her head. "I went overboard and hurt her..."
"Was it serious?" asked Stormy softly.
"No. But she cried and it broke my heart. We had to part ways without making up, because we were both scared the gatherer is still nearby. I think she hates me now..."
"I don't think she does." Stormy scratched his head. "Tohu told me that female Banescales have very complex emotions. They don't just hate or love someone. In fact, all of us process emotions in more than one ways. She may have been physically hurt, but I'm sure she knows very well it wasn't intentional. I bet she is even worried you feel guilty."
"You think so?" Nagendra asked with teary, but hopeful eyes.
"Why don't we go find it out?" Stormy suggested. "If I go with you, it will just look like we are going on a normal date."
"Thanks Stormy."
The two Banescales took up in the middle of the night to talk to Nagendra's sweetheart. The Fae was crying when she saw Nagendra.
"I was so worried if you are okay. I missed you." She squeezed the - compared to her - giant Nagendra.
The two chatted until the sun came up, while Stormy sat outside looking at the moon and thinking of Tohu. When Nagendra was ready to leave, she was back to her loud and wild self. Stormy was happy to see she felt so much better. "Let's go home."
Nagendra asked Stormy to keep her secret for now, she was not ready to come out just yet, which Stormy respected fully. Nagendra also tried to listen to Stormy's tales about Tohu, but she wasn't the best listener. She either dozed off, fell asleep or couldn't sit in one place. But Stormy didn't mind. He had someone he could ramble to about Tohu and that's exactly what he needed. The two lay eggs together sometimes, to keep Nagendra's secret believable. Although Nagendra's motherly instincts are not too strong, Stormy always make sure the hatchlings are treated well. Keeping himself busy also serves as a distraction from sadness. A win-win situation for everyone.
