Totally not inspired by John Constantine what are you talking about- Not nominally a hero but still tries to do the right thing. Most of the time A tad underhanded but things usually turn out alright in the end Mate: Battlerun |

Child, do not weep for me, for I am just a liar, and soon my faults you’ll come to see, and of my company you’ll tire. I hail from lands so far away, their names no longer matter, and to them I’ll return one day, ere this façade I’m forced to shatter. Hush now, dear one, listen here, take comfort in these words, there’s nothing in this world to fear, save for the goal I’m working towards. But since I’m here the plan’s awry, they cannot reach their end, just trust me with no questions why, and my ways you may yet mend. Spawn was approached by a mysterious cloaked figure clad entirely in black to hunt a creature known as the Wulven. After striking a deal to exchange a live specimen for a ridiculous amount of gems, he set off on his quest. He searched high and low, from one corner of Sornieth to the other, using the latest monster hunting gear available and following the flimsiest clues, but found neither hide nor hair of the beast. Eventually he encountered a fellow Cryptozoologist, Starwing, in the Driftwood Drag and discovered he had been hired by the same cloaked figure and sent on a mission to find the Wulven. Deciding two heads are better than one, they teamed up and continued the search together. While in the Scarred Wasteland, they found evidence of its existence in the form of a tuft of glowing fur. They soon discovered the fur had electricity generating properties which were the source of its bioluminescence. They confronted their employer about why he wanted an electro kinetic creature, not trusting an anonymous cloaked figure to have honest motivations, but rather than receiving answers they were threatened to keep quiet. Starwing and Spawn then disagreed over what course to take, Spawn wanting to disregard the threats and warn someone of the potential danger, and Starwing preferring to continue working for the dragon in the hopes that his promises of wealth were true. The duo ultimately split up, and Spawn left disappointed in his friend. However, Starwing soon caught up with him, bearing a warning that the dragon wanted him dead and Star was supposed to lure him into a trap. The duo fled, eventually stumbling upon the Perditus Clan hidden deep within the Star Wood Strand after a chance encounter with Livingston led the young Spiral to bringing them home with him. |
