When Volitan and Lunulata leave the Wyrmwound, they leave together. They quickly find the outside world to be unpleasantly dry. Seeking a more humid climate, their travels bring them to the Shoredeep Presage. Feeling more at home with the damp caverns and ever-changing traffic there, they were able to settle down-for a time. But while their ever-changing nature did allow them to adapt to a more aquatic lifestyle, something was missing.

They weren't changing fast enough. On their long trek back to the Wyrmwound, they got lost, or so one might think. Ending up at the doorstep of the Forbidden Portal instead, Lunulata quickly realizing that somehting had been calling them here. As she dives into research about the myseries on the other side, Volitan is left wondering whether he should stay or go.
