Biography

Mostly grumpy. Very blunt. Kinda loud at times. Built like a double door fridge.* His intimidating appearance makes good first impressions a rare experience. Hates being compared to the other knights regardless of whether or not the comparison should be taken as a compliment. Doesn't get along with Polaris. Mildly tolerates Gladion (tho if the young knight pesters him enough, Akuth will not hesitate to squash him). Bullies Lionheart affectionately, but Lionheart can't really tell if the things Akuth says are a joke or if he's actually being mean most of the time.

Unlike Polaris who never wanted to bother with training Kravitz, Akuth made an effort to train the young prince. It's said that during those brief training sessions you can see an actual smile on Akuth's face rather than his usual scowl. Assuming Rhowen hasn't assigned him to a specific task and Kars and Judas are off doing other things, there's a high chance of Akuth just shadowing Kravitz for the day. Akuth claims it's just to ensure his safety and no other reason (partially true but also, thanks to Akuth's training Kravitz is more than capable of protecting himself... Either way, Krav enjoys the company).

Preferred weapon in combat, though it seems wildly inefficient, would be a battle axe or just about anything heavy that he can swing. He is familiar with other weapons and while he isn't opposed to picking up a long sword or bow like his fellow knights, he'd prefer something with much more weight to it. Realistically, he's probably the only knight that would have the strength to pick up a heavy weapon without struggling.

*This is an inside joke between me and my sister...

Stuff and things:
  • Amare was the one who had "hired" him. Her family apparently had usually employed many members of his family for guard work. Apparently demons are very efficient at guarding things/others if the price is right.
    • At the very least, Amare had probably hired his "father" (no connection to the father listed in his lineage, separate father. Most likely will need another dragon for this) and then once his father had retired, Akuth would've taken his place.
    • Even more realistically, Akuth's father probably wouldn't have retired. He probably was still serving Amare up until her passing. Once she was gone though he probably considered leaving until he thought about her children. He decided to stay for a short while but felt as though it might be difficult to keep up with the three sons. Not only that, but the Rose Knights were also established by this point so it's not like the extra protection would have been necessary.
    • Akuth's father probably would have presented Akuth with the choice of staying here to try forming a new contract, one that would involve employment under Rhowen, or returning home. Akuth at this point had formed something of a "rivalry" with Polaris at this point so he said he wanted to stay. Certainly no other reason...
    • Akuth's father would have respected his son's wishes and would've gone to Rhowen to discuss forming a new contract. Rhowen however didn't seem entirely interested in having Akuth or his father around anymore. He had the Rose Knights, or what was left of them, along with a few other knights who had no affiliation with the group but still did their jobs moderately well.
    • This was originally supposed to be a meeting between Akuth's father and Rhowen, but Akuth had been waiting outside the room this meeting was taking place in and was not pleased to hear what the king had to say. He had quickly barged in to interrupt things and claimed that Rhowen's "pathetic kingdom" would fall without their protection. He had also mentioned something about how "Amare must've known that too, which is why she brought us along."
    • Akuth's outburst caught his father off-guard and he was about to apologize but Rhowen cut him off saying something along the lines of "How dare he speak the queen's name so casually" and that if Akuth really wanted to stay then that was fine by him, assuming he could prove that he was worthy to stay. Not only that, but it would only be Akuth who would be staying as his father would have to leave.
    • Akuth was quick to accept Rhowen's conditions as he was confident he'd be able to take on whatever the king had to throw at him. Oh how wrong he was.
  • At first this challenge Rhowen had set up seemed quite simple, all he had to do was best Polaris in combat. Seeing as Akuth already saw Polaris as a rival it seemed almost too easy for him.
    • It's important to note the goal of this little sparring match was not to kill the other, however if either one of them did meet their end during this fight then so be it. What was Rhowen to do? Punish them? Apparently not! The king found them both rather insufferable with their attitudes so if either one of them was gone it would certainly make his life much easier.
    • Akuth took up his usual choice of weapon, a two handed battle axe (although Akuth is more than capable of swinging the large weapon with one hand easily). Meanwhile Polaris stuck with a broadsword that looked as though it had rarely ever been used in combat.
    • In addition to Rhowen and Akuth's father, the other knights had also come to watch the match as well as Kars and Judas. "How predictable," is what Polaris thought when he saw his underlings, though it didn't show on his face he was clearly annoyed by their presence since they should've been working. Meanwhile Akuth seemed to enjoy the attention especially seeing as a few of them were also cheering him on (that's a lie it was mainly just Gladion).
    • The match began, and everyone that had gathered watched with great interest. For the most part it seemed as though Akuth had the upper hand. He found it rather easy to overwhelm Polaris with powerful swings.
    • Akuth's father felt a bit relieved seeing his son fight so well and looked over expecting Rhowen to show some sort of concern that he may end up being stuck with Akuth for what would feel like an eternity. However when his father looked over, Rhowen didn't seem bothered at all. This immediately made Akuth's father worry.
    • Turning back to the fight, things still seemed to be going in Akuth's favor and it to everyone it seemed as though Akuth would come out the victor in all this. Polaris had finally managed to land two successful hits on Akuth (although one of them was technically an accident). The first (not an accident) was a cut that had run from above Akuth's right eye and stopped just at his cheek (it's a wonder how he didn't lose that eye). The second (the accident) was a large gash across Akuth's torso, it certainly wasn't his intent as Polaris had expected him to block the attack but Akuth seemed stunned by the first initial attack. Still, this wound wasn't deep enough to be considered fatal or detrimental, simply annoying.
    • Slightly enraged by this sudden shift, Akuth swung his axe with a bit more force than he had previously been using. When Polaris moved his blade to block it though, the head of the axe seemed to cleave right through the blade effectively splitting it in two. Akuth felt that at this point there was no way he could lose and that Polaris "should just surrender, before he ends up getting killed." Polaris seemed unbothered by this though and simply tossed aside the broken weapon in his hand and raised his fists.
    • This move from Polaris came as shock to almost everyone except for Rhowen and Kars. Rhowen for one had never seemed to doubt Polaris's strength and had full confidence that even without a weapon he'd be able to best this demon knight. Kars, who had been trained by Polaris, knew that at this point the match had just shifted in Polaris's favor. Judas asked Kars what he meant by that, but Kars didn't give an answer choosing instead to tell his brother to keep watching.
    • Akuth tossed aside his own weapon. If Polaris wanted to continue fighting, he would at least make it something of a fair fight. The minute he did this though Kars called him an idiot, though this was something Akuth wouldn't be able to hear.
    • As Akuth got into his own fighting stance he had glanced over at the small audience once more and noticed that there was a new face who seemed to join. Kravitz.
