The Prophet Of Death

Many dare not speak the name "Kol'Xola" in fear of being dragged to the afterlife for she is the Undertaker, the Prophet of Death.

Few know much of Kol'Xola, but for those who do they know her tale is not a kind one. The Eternal Undertaker was once mortal and lived among us many years ago before the fall of Alok; the Diety of Balance. When she was nothing but an embryo in an egg, she and her sister were stolen from her clutch. It was unheard of for eggs to be taken long ago, but as cruelties spread across the land due to the rise of an unforeseen danger many souls were corrupted and began committing atrocities.

It was cold and wet that day, Kol'Xola and her sister were taken out of town and into the Abyssal Woods, destined to be abandoned by the deviant who was but a construct for chaos. The deviant's initial intention was to eat the eggs in celebration of the Awakened One, joyous of the oncoming chaos and calamity; but he was unaware he too would shortly be consumed by the darkness that festered in the woods. Days went by as the deviant withered away, half alive he started to crumble until his body collapsed into ash. On the bright side the eggs had not yet been harmed, being left to incubate in the wood's chaos. As the seasons changed the eggs started to hatch, first to hatch was Kol'Xola; she was rather large and quite strong. Quite a few days later her sister started to break through the egg, first was Kol's sister; she was dark teal, but it faded into a hot pinkish colour. Kol on the other hand was a variety of deep pinks and purples.

As the two were taking their first look into the world, all they seen was ash and fire; it appears like part of the forest had been consumed by chaos completely. The two sisters were frightened by what they seen, and what is the purpose? But it didn't take long for the snow to start and a light glide down from the now darkened skies. The little Fae looked upon the sisters and nodded his head towards them. Though they were small, the two of you were much bigger than he was yet he was able to lift them with his mind; rather that's how the girls viewed it. They wanted to learn how to do what he does, they could not yet speak but that did not stop them from squeaking at him and following around throughout the passing weeks. He had chose to raise the two when he found them that day, so now he is sharing his knowledge with the two and teaching them to speak. They later learned that his ability was called magic! And this little male had plenty to spare in the power department.

As the years pass and the chaos plagues further lands, the male's time spent with the two dwindled. He had not yet given them his name, or gave them any long after claiming he would. They grew tired of waiting, and sought him out. They didn't know what he was doing when he left for his outings but they were going to find out.

They followed his trail, for Kol'Xola could sense magic and wherever it went. They arrived at the site of chaos and a large gate. The Younger Sister pleaded with Kol'Xola to change her mind on approaching the Fae for she cried about the danger that was waiting down there.

"You know just as well as I that he is not good! He has deceived us but we cannot stand against him. Let us go home and forget about this, we will live to see another day."

But Kol'Xola hissed back, determined to get answers.

"Fine, go home then and live in fear. I do care for you but I will not turn away from a source of evil and let it fester. I will do what I must, this is why we have no family, no parents and no real home!" Her voice grew louder as she went on, angered by the realization that they were being raised as puppets. "I will not be a slave to this Chaos and that Fae, I will get my Answers." And just like that she had turned away and began soaring down to the gate's foot where the male was lounging.

"Have you come to seek judgement young one? I knew it wouldn't be long till you arrived, you have been giving me quite the dirty look lately." When he spoke it was loud, but soft and low at the same time; it comforted Kol'Xola but it was yet another one of his tricks.

She replied with a thundering voice, her anger being thrown into her tone. "Have you not realized that you did not raise a fool?! I know you are evil, but you owe me answers so I will give you time to answer them before I bring your end."

"I already know what you wish to ask. I am Alok, the Deity of Balance. I keep Light and Chaos tethered to this world, you cannot kill me and nor can I." He stretched out upon his bed of feathers and fur and yawned. "I have chosen your names, your sister is to be [REDACTED] and you are Kol'Xola. A powerful name for a powerful dragoness. I sense Chaos inside you, which is why I had that young man steal you from your home and bring you to my Chaos."

"It was your fault all along, I had felt this way for a long while since I have come to sense the chaos in your magic, but you've given me what I want so now your doom begins." She replied.

"I said you cannot kill me, are you truly that foolish to battle me?" He chuckled in disbelief.

"I don't have to kill you to bring upon your doom, I have made my sacrifice." She now spoke in a soft tone.

And just like that the ground started to shake around them, Alok stumbling to his feet. He frantically looked around, knowing this was not her doing. Emerging from the stars, a mountain sized sparkly Veilspun spoke. "Alok, you have failed your duties and will be punished for erupting the balance and being consumed by Chaos. You shall be banished from this point on."

"Fate?!" He shouted, feeling his feet being pulled through the air slowly. He turned to Kol'Xola in anger and roared. "How could you do this?!! How did you come to learn of Fate's Trade?"

Kol'Xola chuckled. "I learned too much, you taught me that I could find knowledge anywhere if I looked hard enough." After she spoke he started getting pulled away while at the same time Kol'Xola's skin began to harden and turn to metal, her wings almost leathery. A smoke-like mist started pouring from her mouth and body, being converted to a Disciple of Fate.

"I now forfeit my right to live and will forever lead those of evil to death, and will guide those to a long life if deemed worthy. But all near and far will face my judgement. I am the Undertaker and will try to preserve what is left of this world." What she didn't know was the unseen followers of Chaos watching the scene in hiding. They were filled with anger and sadness, corrupted by the evil they fled to tell tales of The Prophet of Death.[/columns]
