B I O G R A P H Y

______ From within the coral emerged a quiet little Fae. Her wings emitted a gentle pink glow, and her eyes resembled shiny pearls. The nursing mothers took comfort in her presence, for she was lively and brought joy wherever she went. They would marvel as she went around the nursery each day, tending to the coral that seemed to come alive a bit more every time it came under her touch.

______ Carmenta, though dragon-like in appearance, was not what she looked to be. She never grew like all the other hatchlings eventually did, and never left her spot in the hatchery. If one didn't look hard enough, she'd blend right in with the coral.

Corrusco wasn't her father, though it was a common misconception. She resembled the guiding soul, from her haunting eyes to her cornflower shades, but Corrusco never had any eggs. In fact, Carmenta was a part of him, one that he sent to the deep ocean floors to keep watch as the future of the clan were born and raised. No one knew what it costed for him to split a piece of himself, but the ever-thriving coral that came with Carmenta was a spectacle to be forever grateful for.
