The lair of Mara had been quiet for some time now. The war between siblings in this territory had concluded, and Mara had regained her leadership. At what cost, though?

Her colours had changed when the power had come, and she looked like her ancestor more and more. She felt it, too. That power, stirring. What she had always tried to avoid seemed to become more and more the reality she knew.

It was like a curse that would never leave, shrouding her day-to-day. Her nests reflected it. Most of the eggs never hatched. The ones that did, didn't live more than a few days. Sometimes, the egg would crack, but when she took the shell away, it was empty. She had no explanation... only worry.

Several times, she thought she saw a shadow slip out of the shell, and the interior was void of any hatchling... was there ever a hatchling...? Or was she just .. losing her mind to the curse she felt was overshadowing everything around her.

Ninopa was born of the remnants of power that lay within Mara through her nests with Echo. One among many seemingly 'empty' eggs, she slipped away from the nest, from the territory, racing along on the power that made up her every ounce of self.

Where she found herself, and what path she will be on from here on out.. well... that is where her story truly begins...
