When Peridot left home, she made it her mission to discover a way for all dragons to live in peace with the Beastclans. Her search began in the Viridian Labyrinth with the Talonok clans, then to the Ashfall Waste with the Harpy clans, and finally to the Sea of a Thousand Currents with the Maren clans. She was not always a welcome presence and, as a result, has become a very capable fighter. She did make several friends along the way, however, and she is closest with her Masked Harpy familiar who can serve as both a scout and guide of sorts. Recently, she has taken on the company of a Windcarve Fugitive as well who wished to join in her travels.

Peridot initially came to the Southern Icefield to investigate the Longneck clans. Her travels fascinated Obsidian who convinced her to remain with the clan so that he could record her expeditions (though she prefers to listen to others over talking). Many others of the clan find her courage inspiring and, although she leaves to explore quite often, most dragons accept her as a trustworthy member of the clan. She is always willing to help others and is very reliable, though she does have a strange, inexplicable fear of poultry.
