Asp, mother
> || Asp has an uncomfortable fondness for poisons and venoms. She studies both the natural kind- plants, snakes, spiders- and the dragonmade kind. She quite enjoys the process of writing down the science behind her brews, and the act of brewing them is just the cherry on top. She has an impressive collection of poisonous and venomous animals, as well as a healthy garden of equally dangerous plants. She doesn't have the best relationship with the rest of her family, but they do write letters to make sure everyone keeps in touch.

Inkwell, father
> || While not as interested in the more dangerous plants, Inkwell shares Asp's garden where he grows his own medicinal plants and herbs. He has a shop in Darkwood where he sells these plants alongside other medicines, balms, and gentle remedies. He and Asp can often be found sharing the science behind their respective works, both of them interested in just how close a medicine can be to a poison and vice versa.

Pulse, grandfather
> || A wonderful pickpocket as a hatchling, Pulse decided to put his... talents to good use as an adult. He won't steal from just anyone, but rather has been employed by the rest of his family. His main job is to make sure magical and cursed objects don't wind up in just any hoard, and any he sees are swiftly and secretly taken to be locked away, usually by Aumoe. Pulse also slinks his way into libraries and private collections to steal away literature that Oberon or Fatel might find interesting.

Nymstryx, grandmother
> || Although very talented when it comes to magic, Nymstryx spends her time studying the sunportal. She keeps her knowledge to herself, however, as her husband's family have shown how uncomfortable they are with her work. It's not that she studies the portal that they're concerned with, it's the fact that she almost plays with it. Oberon isn't convinced she won't blow it up someday.

Sighs, great grandmother
> || Sighs chose to stray away from the mostly spiritual magics that her family prefers, and chose to study sleep and dream related magic, instead. She's a gentle soul, and that kindness spreads through her magic, keeping it light. She isn't interested in making a profit and often gifts bottled dreams and magic sleep aids to those that need them.

Xaoc, great grandmother
> || Unlike her lover, Xaoc isn't gentle in the least bit. She doesn't like sticking to one thing, so she can be found anywhere in Darkwood, helping anyone that needs her. She enjoys helping the fae merchants on the shadow-side of the island the most, because she gets to see the reactions of the poor souls that unknowingly make deals they shouldn't be making.

Devon, great^2 grandmother
> || Devon spent most of her early days working with her grandmother, Eris. She had fun, at first, learning about demons and the in-and-outs of banishing them. The work lost its appeal during a particularly dangerous encounter that nearly took her life. She tried to continue working, but in the end, Eris helped her realize it wasn't meant for her anymore. She now spends most of her days keeping order to her great-grandfather Oberon's library, but still assists Eris and her mother, Aumoe, if they need a helping hand.

Fatel, great^2 grandfather
> || Fatel is an arcane scholar working closely with Oberon. He's not interested in the star-charting part of the older spiral's work, but he's happy to help monitor the positions of larger, more noteworthy celestial bodies. When not working, he's often reading through his mentor's journals and writing down his own observations for Oberon to look over when he has time.

Aumoe, great^3 grandmother
> || Aumoe somewhat takes after her mother, but instead of banishing dangerous demons, she sticks to casual exorcisms. She enjoys helping people reclaim their lives but doesn't like the idea of putting her life on the line to do so. She actually met her lover, Xaz, because he had a spirit problem. To be one of many, but she loves him.

Xaz, great^3 grandfather
> || Xaz, much to the chagrin of some of his more magically-inclined family members, collects and sells haunted and cursed items. Said family members have had to help him get rid of enough dark spirits that they've lost count. He's not very talented when it comes to magics, but he's a pro at selling things to people that they don't need and probably shouldn't even be buying.

Whimsy, great^4 grandfather
> || Whimsy is a steady-handed jeweler and witch who puts his heart and soul into every piece he crafts. When he finishes a piece, he imbues every gem with magic. Not every stone carries the same spell; some are for luck, others for fortune or love... it all depends on what Whimsy senses the commissioner needs most when they come asking for his art.

Eris, great^4 grandmother
> || Although some don't take her job seriously, Eris is a proud demon hunter. She usually sticks to her own magic when it comes to dispelling them, but she has mild summoner abilities that let her temporarily manifest lesser spirits to aid her. She prefers not to force spirits into a battle they didn't sign up for, but she always sends them away with an offering and a prayer. She's often told that demons don't exist, and while she knows for a fact that they do, she never forces others to believe. Who, after all, would want to believe in demons?

Evren, great^5 grandmother
> || One of the few family members not interested in magic, Evren strays more towards music. She's often found singing as she goes about her life, and loves to share her songs with anyone that shows interest. She's often found singing to her insomniac, workaholic lover as he charts the stars.

Oberon, great^5 grandfather
> || Oberon is an incredibly intelligent spiral that hails straight from the Starfall Isles. While he doesn't shadow the Arcanist anymore, he has continued his studies elsewhere and on his own terms. He spends most of his days scribbling through journals, and most of his night charting the stars.
