Wind-Dancers came to be not long after a long period of great and often bloody skirmishes between the tribes and nomads of the water territories came to a pause. Rydian, clan-mother at the time and a young nesting mother, was weary of travelling, and found a place deep within the waters of the territory to create a sanctuary for her and hers. During this time, a former Wind nomad came to the clan-mother with an idea. One that would hopefully give purpose to those who were born and bred with the skills of warriors who now did not have an outlet for themselves. Rydian saw the opportunity for what it was- a Wind nomad willing to share the techniques of flight with those who proved willing to change their claws and teeth for silks and acrobatics. Thus, the wind-dancers came to be. Agile, swift, and following the rhythms that beat through their veins, these select few dragons have become a two-sided coin. Their primary skills as entertainers and performers, with the serene joy of the wind beneath their wings and the song of the skies within their hearts... and the spies, warriors and assassins they could become again should the need to defend their tribe come to be. -;- Rythikos is the "alpha" wind-dancer. He was the one who approached the clan-mother with the idea of the in-tribe group, and he is the current head of it now. While he himself is not a warrior, he does understand that on occasion there is no other option. Peaceful and occasionally excitable to the extent of tying himself in knots, he wonders from time to time if allowing wind-dancing to be formed into a weapon was a wise option. first companion was Cursed Bat |
