Cetus

Cetus is an adopted Ice flight dragon, lost in the frost after being assumed an inert egg and left behind. He barely survived to make his eventual way to the Scarred Wasteland, where he eventually got picked up by the plague Guardian Saffron. Cetus was one of the few hatchlings to have been inducted into the small mixed pack, along with Hunger and Witherling as hatchlings. It took a few days after the impromptu adoption for the clan to realize the Ridgeback was actually deaf, though from birth or from damage in the ice they have no idea. They communicate with him with their claws and item-based charades, and the matriarch Lichen Eater is loathe to admit she has a soft spot for one of her first hatchlings, regardless of bloodline.

After a few months of aligning the clan, the chain of command had led Cetus to becoming first-in-line to lead, though the subsection of Star-Gazers assumed him more in charge. His blending into the bleeding dusk sun and imposing stature had left him with an entourage of similar looking hatchlings, most unrelated by blood but had become a big brother figure. To those old enough to have joined after his growing, he became respected by the brawlers and the mages for his brutal slash and tearing he adopted from his mother dearest.
