VOIDFALL THE VISIONARY |
|
Ever since she was young, all Voidfall had ever wanted was to be as strong as her big sister. All of the Runefall children were special in their own right, but in Voidfall's eyes, Tyr was something special. She yearned to be taken under her older sister's wing, to be taught in the ways of prophecies and visions. In Voidfall's eyes, only Tyr was the one who could train her to be perfect. She snubbed her teachers when they tried to get her to practice her magic, turned up her nose at any books of spells her father provided her. "They're no good," she'd scoff. "Only Tyr knows how to get it right." Though one's magic does not diminish with disuse, it was in these crucial years of adolescence in which constant practice and repetition makes the best magicians. Convinced it would do her nothing, Voidfall wasted these precious seconds with complaints and excuses. At the first chance she got, Voidfall weaseled her way out of her father's careful gaze, slipping off into the night. It was not hard to find where Tyr had set up shop-- all she needed to do was ask someone who'd received a vision from her the whereabouts of her location. And, it would seem, there were many who'd gone to Tyr before. It what seemed like no time at all, Voidfall had converged upon her older sister, sitting like a golden goose in a chamber draped with silks and crystal balls. Tyr's place of residence was quite public; a nice, spacious building with intricate decorations nestled within the shallows of the Tidelord's Domain. It provided easy access for dragons of all kinds, Veilspun and Imperials, Water-born dragons and those of different elements. This was by design. Tyr had been coaxed into sacrificing her life to her gift, best to make the most out of it. |
