Biography

The diary continues:
We were in the ice domain at the time, and it was little Orca who found him as a hatchling. Isaac was half dead, having traveled the entire tundra alone without care for himself. Orca tried to eat him. You can still see the mark where he tried to bite poor Isaac’s wing clean off!
We were not his destination on the map, but he had learned that traveling alone was basically a death sentence, and came with us as we moved yet again to another domain. Along the way, he became attached to our little ones, and Orca especially, the two of them bonding over the frozen water that flowed through their veins. The mistress had never wanted to breed, but after many long conversations during flight, Isaac apparently changed her mind, and the twins were born. Nelagaeya and Lelagaeya were horrible little hatchlings, they constantly got into trouble and destroyed almost everything we had with their compulsion to claw things. Isaac joked that they had inherited their older brother’s teeth from Orca, who is a full adult and still bites just as awful as when he was younger.
I miss them, from time to time, but the twins are well settled in the stadium as prize fighters. A crown they sent (“It’s ice blue, just like you!”) sits on Orca’s head near permanently as a memento from his favorite sisters.
