The hatchlings' toys have been going missing; not always for long.

Stuffed little things, with button-eyes and worn stitching.
The wood and wire ones always turn up later, never in one piece.

I do wonder why the stuffed ones never turn up again.

Bounder has contracted me to help him find the children's missing toys. Ugh.
I suppose I do have the day off.
Haven't needed to drive those... Things off in a while.

The Ashfall waste features a plethora of colors, such as grey, grey, and more grey.
The kid's toys are usually so brightly colored, they love it when their mother ties a little red ribbon around the plush toy's throat.

Maybe they got covered in grit. Or maybe there's nothing to find.
You never know what get lost to the intense heat.
Of course, that's just what we tell tourists! It's usually the bolder scavengers taking people's belongings.
Or it could be those Things

Anyone who wanders off alone doesn't come back.
No matter what they say about who they are.

We found a wooden unicorn, with limbs and head missing
The limbs were found discarded.
We couldn't find the head.

We found some torn bits of the garish thread Orchard uses to fix the kid's stuffed animals.
Bright red.
Unsightly.
