Cernunnos isn't per se the leader of Lark's flight, but he is, however the war leader. He encountered Lark years ago and saw potential in her, and as much as the guardian decided she needed to protect him, he decided to channel her talents.
He's calculating and hates taking risks, and he is more than fond of shadowplay, which is evident at most in the presence of his two loyal assassins.
The forest coloured dragon likes hiding where he cannot be seen, which is mostly in the treetops, as this also gives him an advantage in overseeing the terrain. .
