And they stole upon the land; Death on her Pale horse, War on his Red horse, Famine on his Black horse and Conquest on her White horse.
Death, with the assistance of her Reapers, Pestilence and Plague, reaped those who were dead and dying.
War took Peace and Prosperity, and looked down upon man as they fought one another and grinned as his sister Death collected the fallen.
Famine stole Security and replaced it with Starvation, smiling down upon those who worked the withered land and watched as his sister Death took those too.
Conquest stood beside War and Death and smiled, for those who fought and won conquered, and those who fought and lost were conquered and she felt no mercy.
Thus the four horsemen destroyed the world, leaving it empty ann barren; and when their job was done they retreated, looking down upon the world they had bared and waited for the next cleansing.
