Biography
Two bold lovers lived on the edge of town
On the cliffside and above the angry sea
But never would he dreamt his love would drown
For through their days, they lived care free
One was a healer and one was a witch
And still the people never knew who was who
To them, it was neither between or betwixt
When they all came round to discuss what to do
On a day to forage, the husband left home
With love in his eyes, he took off in the morn
He couldn't have imagined to arrive back alone
Nor his love's life to be so swiftly shorn
When he returned that night, what a sight to be seen
The house was dark and the windows were smashed in
But there wasn't a trace of his beloved queen
His blood ran cold and his head began to spin
Who could have done this? Or for what reason at that?
His tears began as things moved in slow motion
But, just as he wondered where she could be at,
A sweet, gentle voice pulled him near the ocean
It was then he knew what might have conspired
As he stood at the cliffs and looked down below
The townsfolk were the cause of her sudden expire
And into the dark night, he cried out in woe
For he knew they had wanted to be rid of the witch
But they never paid attention to which one was which...
