Dust to Dust - Theme Music

Bluelipped Thresh Wintermane Bowman Blue Honeycomb

Spell’s home was one of many stolen moons orbiting a gaseous giant within a habitable zone; taken over by creatures who claimed a right to the land.

The infiltration succeeded the species; Spell was torn away from his kin and sent to some distant world, spending months on a craft before making it to this new land where he was bound and put to work.

Spending years as a workhorse in foreign land with creatures he could not understand, his spirit was broken, utterly destroyed. Eventually snapping like a stretched rubber band, Spell struck out in work, using his specie’s only defense to make an attempt to run.

Failing too miserably, since the defensive mechanic was only passive, he was contained. Imprisoned with other beasts from anywhere else, considered too violent and hostile for work. They were pitted.

Imprisonment became a fight for the right to live and Spell fought hard. A passive creature turned hardened and cruel. Gentle features and colors becoming filthy, dirtied by victims who had fallen by him. His mighty size, features, and startling powers gave him the upper hand in most fights. Until the day he was stricken down by another of a similar species, whom he mistook for his own family he did not fight hard enough against.

Retirement was death and Spell spent many months on the chopping block, withering away without food before inevitably an organization swept in and saved the beasts. Unable to communicate properly, Spell could not describe home and was instead sent to another foreign world. Somewhere they thought he could rest for many years.

Spell taught himself a few widely regulated languages with the aid of the rehabilitators on the new world. He fell in love with botany, collecting, breeding, and cataloguing rare and alien plants. Often during travels, his saviors will return with new species for him to see to, so long as he keeps them contained in non-invasive environments.
