Khonsu

Gentle : Wise : Patient : Appreciative

Khonsu is a wise Imperial from the Shifting Expanse. Once a grand warrior, he came to the Igni Ferroque to live out a sort of retirement and provide wisdom to the young dragons within the clan.

Though he’s clad in battle armor, Khonsu prefers defense over offense. He’s a peaceful sort, graceful and delicate as his shimmering pink wings. He carries with him an olive branch for peace and while his familiar is a fierce warrior, he’s also accompanied by a gentle white dove. These contrasting traits serve to exemplify how he definitely has the potential to be a formidable opponent on the battlefield, but he still prefers diplomacy and discourse to war. He’ll do what he must to defend his clan, but at the end of the day, Khonsu would rather not fight.

The serene Imperial has a deep appreciation for catching fireflies. At night, he ventures out of his lair and holds perfectly still so the glowing insects will land on his head and his outstretched claws. Sometimes, he’ll allow the most patient hatchlings to accompany him on his midnight adventures. He’s trying to foster a legacy of gentleness amongst the next generation. Hopefully he’ll succeed, further pushing back the fighter inside of him that longs for a chance to be unleashed.

I am icon
I am that pictured in those tales to song
I am that which from the brink responds

See that every wind up plateaus
If you want a seed to rise up, let go
The greatest tragedy as every breath takes toll
Is to live a life and never witness depth of soul.

Snake inside the rocks, your tale you will consume
Liberate the mind but lock the body in a groove
Know that sedentary can be tantamount to tomb
This is why a coma patient must be regularly moved.

In the quest for plenty, know the paths are many
But few will lead you past the regions where the past is buried
Giving is the levee that will bound a man’s greed
Prison is the dwelling when you take no leave
Faster than a sparrow flies, trap the cupid by surprise
Grab his bow and arrow and shoot straight into the empty sky
You can spend eternity immersed in what’s inside
But if you’re searching for a purpose then no purpose will you find.

Armored at the core, at the ready and primed for it?
Breach the battleground with the courage to drive for it?
And to know the fundamentals of being alive?
