the streets are thick with fog. it was a hazy night, one no one would care to remember. the status quo is maintained. in a worn down tavern, a dragon grovels into his drink "i hate them," he sneers at his own reflection, eyes kindled with a flame not unlike his lantern. "with their terrible wings and putrid eyes." the silver he wears is cold and heavy, but he considered the grime and achor on it as achievements. he treasured the moments he got them. white wings torn from a body, weapon raised with a shaky but wide grin. what he does to relive it over and over again he takes a sip of the honeyed beverage he'd tell the stories over and over of his hunts, to the point where other tavern goers were becoming sick of it, embellishing the tales with glee. once he had fought one with only his claws and his teeth. he fought another in a desolate wasteland, leaping to strike at its core. its the only time anyone ever sees him happy, when he talks about hunting angels "i'll never forgive them," he murmurs before getting up, slamming coin against the table. despite being a regular, no one knows his name. does he need one? "i'm wasting my time here. i won't rest until they're all wasting away back in heaven." he quickly leaves afterwards. oh how he loathes them, because he no longer knows how to do anything else | ________.________ |
