Obitus

Despite having been blessed by the powers that be with the strong gift of premonition and fortune telling, Obitus is a dragon living very much in the moment. When he isn’t being a trickster mischievous enough to rival Loki himself, Obitus makes a wage using the psychic side of his powers. He has a flare for the dramatic – maintaining a wagon which he’s lined with dark velvet and centers around his ‘magical’ crystal orb. Often, he gets hired by dragons looking to see their future or rulers wishing to know exactly what decisions to make in order to maintain order in their clans. The thing that makes him mercenary is that Obitus doesn’t always tell everything he sees in their future. Often, he keeps his answers ambiguous in a hope that they come back for more. Or, even worse, sometimes he keeps tidbits of information for himself to sell to opposing powers, especially when telling the future for important dragons.

Perhaps the powers that be were aware of Obitus's nature while he rested within his egg. For they gave his powers one massive drawback – he can never tell his own fortune, nor anyone of his bloodline. When he stares within his crystal orb, for himself or any of his family, he sees nothing but the black void of space. Blacker than even a starless sky. But it’s not as though he cares (really, he swears he doesn’t!) - he doesn’t want the pressure of his future hanging over his head anyway... really!

Obitus had a premonition of a calendar with the date 12/21/2026. His vision included images of ... cake. He isn't sure why.
