Biography
Calamity and Raku
Twin-Headed Terror
Calamity, the head on the anatomical right side of the organism, is the main brain and de facto personality. She has two eyes, four horns, and a mean smile. Her specialty is scheming and complex operations, though she doesn’t shy away from battle. Calamity possesses powerfully venomous saliva and an explosive impulse to bite. The organism bears her name, which she bestowed upon herself. She named Raku as well.
Raku, the head on the anatomical left side of the organism, is not capable of coherent thought. It serves as a reflex center, controlling every movement and running processes necessary for survival. Despite its limitations, it is capable of incredible calculations. Raku’s only vocalizations are roars and gator-like hisses, which seem to have no real meaning. It has five eyes, two horns, and a strong breath weapon.
Calamity and Raku are the fairly recent product of an ancient and convoluted process. Born during the Plaguebringer’s first wave of Aberration creation, their body was swiftly rejected and cast into the Wyrmwound. It survived in the depths of the diseased darkness, twisting as it grew, evolving and shedding various personalities along the way. Eventually, the body arrived at its answer: Calamity and Raku, two incredibly specialized halves of one near-perfect whole. When working in perfect synchronicity, they are nigh unstoppable.
Using the best of their respective abilities, the two heads have devised a strange system of surveillance: Life-Flow reading. Raku takes careful stock of the Life-Flow through olfaction, temperature readings, background sound cataloguing, and ambient magic measurements. Calamity then interprets the data and creates a rough map from it. Tracking changes in specific Life-Flow elements against the base map gives the body an uncanny ability to predict future happenings. It takes a fair deal of energy to carry out, especially during the thick of battles, but the payoff can be astronomical.
Raku’s powerful breath weapon has scorched its teeth, rendering them black and brittle. It is incapable of delivering powerful bites as a result. Calamity compensates for this surprising vulnerability with her own weapon, a double combo of strong teeth and deadly spit. Several other minor weaknesses throughout the organism are resolved in this manner. No system designed by the dual minds of Calamity’s dragon could constitute a flaw.

Calamity and Raku as the double-headed eagle of the Holy Roman Empire. Why, exactly? I mean, why not. Yellow does suit them pretty well.
Oh boy,, ohhhhhhh boy
