Role: The Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse
The last of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to be “Created”. Formally the Past version of Archangel Uriel. Having been the last archangel left, Uriel had to go on the run. Not only was he being hunted down by the False God and Satan , but he was also being hunted down by Three Horsemen. Sure two of the Horsemen were previously his own family, but he knew that they didn’t want to kill the gods for selfless reasons. He was certain that they were in fact corrupted by the gods, but they had rebelled against them in order to take control of the Earth. Thanks to his shadow magic, Uriel was certain none of them would ever be able to find him. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t hide forever, and eventually the fake God had found him first. Right before he was killed, The three Horsemen came to the ‘rescue’. Having been the first time God had seen Famine, he left in distress, leaving Uriel to the Horsemen. Weakened and tired, he could do nothing but accept his fate. And that's when he became death. The tears did him no favors though. Having already been corrupted by The Devil's magic beforehand, the tears only made him become more bird-like. That and it actually made him age a considerable amount. Which is why he wears a human skull over his face and loose tattered clothes (that and his feathers don’t take too kindly to being in fitting clothes) because he’d rather not be reminded of how much he hates how he looks. Other than that though, he is still as bad-tempered as he had always been. He holds a grudge against Conquest for doing this to him, even though he now agrees with his views. Death is often paired up with War, as where there's war there is always death close behind. Thankfully for him, Michael and he had always gotten along well, so he was no stranger to this pairing. The giant shadow bird that follows him is called Hades (it’s not the Greek god though), which serves as a vessel to store the souls he collects. Inside of it is a pocket dimension, as they don’t want the souls to end up going to Hell and Heaven, thus giving the gods more power. All of the souls are essentially in purgatory, whether or not they were meant to go to Heaven or Hell. Hades also has a personality *cough* Obnoxious *cough*, but Death always makes sure to remind people NOT to interact with it because then it wont shut up. The Pale Horse The Pale Horse he rides was created by Death himself using the souls of dead horses. Their personality is all over the place, as the horses used to create them all had different temperaments. Most of the time they don't show any emotion, but if they encounter any kind of stress, fear, confusion and panic is what they will show. Usually when they become panicked, all of the individual souls will attempt to separate, but since they were bound together by magic, they are unable to do so. |
