these dragons come from a mix of backgrounds, and travel some together, some apart, seeking vengeance, seeking peace, seeking freedom, all threatened by the shade-touched.
the kingdom of lumina sits in denial; the shade touches its door and takes its royal children, as well as its commoners, and its queen does nothing, leaving one of its nobles to form a team of her own to work to stop its advance.
the coastal city of clearwater boasts a team of powerful guardians, under stewardship from its leading family. its eldest daughter refuses to sit idle, and follows in the tracks of a fugitive guardian only to learn said guardian is working to stop the shade just as she intends.
the small kingdom of lycanthra sits nestled in the wind flight's bamboo forests. its wise old king has retired from his own fight against the shade, and seeks to protect his kingdom first and foremost, but welcomes younger dragons seeking guidance on how to combat it.
clan greymoon stands not far from the fortress of ends, and carries with it a wealth of knowledge about the world's past. it's served to shelter scholars from across the continent before, and has recently done so again, leaving it a valuable treasure trove of history for those who seek it.
the tiny village of faydenn is nestled in an ancient forest, where its dragon and beastclan members hone their crafts together and build a tight-knit network of support and protection.
venture is a city seated around an academy that teaches dragons how to fight and to heal, so that they may find their way into the world and purge the shade from every corner. before the academy showed up, the city used to be a farming town, dragons and beastclans alike working the land for food and materials. now, tensions rise between the academy and its expansive need for resources and the farming families who are losing valuable farmland as the academy grows its student base.

the grand crown city boasts a bustling trade hub, plentiful entertainment, and the peace that comes with strong leadership and good organization. or so it seems on the surface - the city is threatened by the shade and by pirates, and is dealing with an influx of those seeking shelter from either threat.
 in the wake of the emperor luminax, two groups of dragons have risen. the first of them, cult-like in nature, is led by a dragon hoping to seek the power of the emperors for himself, and to use it to unleash chaos on the world. he is believed to be shade-touched, and the second group are those who seek to counter the shade and all it has stolen. they find themselves at perpetual odds with each other, neither able to gain the upper hand and achieve what they wish, even with the help they receive or recruit.  these dragons belong to a personal story project i've been working on since 2020. while the setting and plot has changed several times, the characters and the message have remained the same. these guys have no flight rising lore and likely never will, but their bios contain messages regarding their roles in their story.  these dragons currently have no lore; they're either progenitors, coli trainers, or others i'm planning to hold onto for personal reasons that don't belong to a story. |
