Biography
THE TWENTIETH CARVING
Greer: watchful, guardian
The stone statue is curled around a shallow, whicker basket.
Her tail is wrapped around the basket, and curled up at the end. She seems to be smiling, gaze inwards, towards the woven bowl. In the very center of this place of offering is a cub carved of moonstone, lying peacefully, as if asleep.
The statue reflects the light of the sun through her wings of dyed glass. The statue, it seems, keeps a watchful eye over her cub, who sleeps amidst the offerings brought and set around her. Fruits, treasure, jewelry, and cloth are often left for the guardian and her young one.
There was a dragon who thought themselves a trickster, and purposefully covered the cub’s head with a wool cloth. Just the next day, they were badly burned by the the sun.
If you would no longer like your guardian, please consider returning them to me (161427), or consider finding a new home for them yourself.
