B I O G R A P H Y

______ Blackthorn’s search for his charge was far shorter than most. Hatched to dragons of the Starfall Isles, Blackthorn began his journey with an eastward trek, towards Dragonhome. It didn’t take long for him to find the one thing he would swear his life to protect, stumbling upon the Village of Quartz mere weeks after first coming to the domain of the Earthshaker. Brought to the Parched Canyonwalks more by luck than by instinct, Blackthorn was quickly enamoured by a flash of red out of the corner of his eye. Following the sight brought him through twisting caves and caverns until finally stopping at a massive hole in the wall of the canyon, framed by hanging herbs and shining stones. In the centre of it all sat the dragon, a shining red pearlcatcher clutching their stone. Fearing confrontation, Blackthorn prepared to explain, but couldn’t begin before a lanky brown skydancer stood between them. Her voice was smooth and cool as she spoke, asking the pearlcatcher if this was the one from their dreams. The pearlcatcher wordlessly nodded, and with that the skydancer gave Blackthorn a welcoming nuzzle. Not long after, Blackthorn was welcomed by all the members of the clan, and soon made a home with his charge amongst friends.

______ Though he has undoubtedly found his charge in Nightrunner, Blackthorn’s heart also belongs to another dragon. Blackthorn considers Hollyhock, the looming banescale, to be the dragon he is destined to spend his life with. Meeting in the Village of Quartz after finding his charge, Blackthorn found an unlikely friend in the solemn dragon. He quickly became the only dragon to be able to influence Hollyhock. Calling him for meals, tending to his wounds- were it not for the ease of instinct when he’s around Nightrunner, Blackthorn would be sure that his charge lay in Hollyhock. Though his first loyalty will always be Nightrunner, the pearlcatcher has made it clear that should Blackthorn and Hollyhock want to start a clan of their own, Nightrunner will be willing to tag along with their friends so Blackthorn can fulfill his guardian duty. Now, with the help of Styx, Blackthorn and Hollyhock have welcomed their first and only child into the Village.
