 Ancala was a mage who hoarded knowledge, proud and vain when it came to his collection. When Destruction initially asked to see the tomes he kept behind lock and key he was incredibly hesitant, until the dragon's whispered compliments and praise loosened his claws. He was surprised when Destruction plucked up a dusty leather-bound book from the pile, a snarling wolf chasing a gold-painted sun on the cover. "This is why we are here," he whispered, his voice seemingly bringing the pages to life, fluttering in the dusty room. Destruction seemed to draw in all attention, as though his purpose was that of everyone there, and his will was the will of those watching. He stared at the two dragons who faced him with a strange look, confident, clever, almost terrifying in how those eyes that lacked pupils stared straight into your own. Their eyes met, and Ancala felt a shudder run through him. The dragon before him was unlike any he had met before. "Come with me, and I will show you true purpose." It was not a question. Ancala bowed his head, and nodded. He knew now that his life would never be the same as it had once been.
