예언의 힘은 종종 믿기 힘들기 마련이다. 왜냐하면 대개 그 예언이라는 내용들이 너무 광범위한 범위를 짚어주기 때문이다. 한 일례로, 큰 위협이 닥친다거나. 아니면 곧 좋은 일이 생긴다거나. 인생만사 새옹지마라고, 당연히 좋은 일, 나쁜 일이 있기 마련이다. 그래서 예언은 믿기 힘들다. 사실 예언같은 건 존재하지 않는 것 아닐까? 여기, 그런 생각을 하는 예언가 용이 있다.

그는 미신같은걸 믿지 않지만, 직업이 예언가인 것은 사실이었다. 이게 무슨 말이냐면 실은 그가 예언같은 걸 하지는 않는다는 말이다. 즉, 사기다. 하지만 필요한 사기를 친다. 예언을 믿지 않는 용들이 많듯이, 믿는 용들은 정말 광적으로 예언에 집착하는 경향이 있다. 누구나 포춘쿠키에서 불안한 말이 나오면 괜시리 신경쓰듯이 말이다. 다만 그 정도가 지나칠 뿐이지...하여간 이 용은 그런 이들을 상대로 미래를 점치는 척 하면서 이런저런 문제점들을 고쳐준다. 쉽게 말해서 돌팔이 정신과 의사랄까?
