Aphara

Aphara's mother was Hafwen. However, she was not raised up by Hafwen, as she'd been sold to someone. So she'd been raised by a strange dragon named Resonance, who'd been 'running away' from someone named Laharin. Whenever Aphara asked why she was running away, Resonance would say that Laharin would hunt them down, and that they must keep moving until Laharin would give up. Although Aphara never questioned Resonance in front of her, sometimes she would ask herself if Resonance was the bad guy in the situation. Meanwhile Laharin hunting them down was a danger, another danger was a dangerous plague that was spreading, and Resonance needed to teach Aphara the ways of medicine. Aphara was eager to learn, as the sickness was spreading quickly and winter was falling. They helped random dragons they found on the clearings, always wearing gloves on their claws and bandannas on their snouts. Once, they came across a dark yellow dragon with blue wings. Resonance was hesitant with healing that dragon, and as soon as they were done feeding the dragon medicine, the dragon began to cough and wheeze. They went still after a few moments, and Resonance's face was unreadable. Then she turned to Aphara and told her, "There is a Clan beyond this plague with doctors that could heal dragons with the touch of their claws. I'd like you to go there. Learn as much as you can. Only return when you are sure that the plague has rolled over and gone to sleep." Then she went to bury that dragon.
