===Quinn does not believe in fate. He does not believe some sort of preordained path that his whole life will follow. He doesn’t want to accept things how they are. It’s possibly why the younger Quinn decided to become a healer, which led him to taking up magic and magical theory. ===He quickly proved himself talented to his teacher; his hands were nimble, mind bright and eyes piercing, never missing even a small detail that could change the whole prognosis. It took him only 2 years to finish his healing studies. Once they were over he began travelling all around Sornieth to see the techniques of different flights. Then he stumbled upon ancient Arcane healing tombs. ===The healings arts described fascinated him even though some techniques were outdated, especially the magic aspect. Their ancient ancestors used pure magic manipulation of the body and mind as the core of their healing. Herbs and natural medicine are well and good, but magic could do so more! ===They used their own magic teeming with the knowledge and intent to heal and the own patient’s distressed magic that cried for help and taught it what their own magic knew. Illnesses were quickly dealt with as they suffered attacks from both sides. ===Illnesses wrack our poor bodies and we do our best to escape their clutches. So many new discoveries were made since his apprenticeship, yet he still sees dragons dying due to the common cold. He hates it. He hates seeing them suffer. He wants to help them, to ease the suffering of his patients and their families, to prevent the horrified looks of anguish when a part of their family leaves them forever. ===Quinn is a kind-hearted soul who simply wishes to better the lives of others, though as they say, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. He has become obsessed with searching for any magical breakthroughs useful in healing. He’s a workaholic, always either healing or researching. He fancies himself a revolutionist, a dragon who will change Sornieth. ===His magic studies had an unexpected side effect. The residual magic from his patients and his own body started crystallizing upon his skin, forming jagged crystals. He has to smooth them out daily or risk injuring himself or his beloved patients. ===He used to hang out with a lot of dragons, with his best friends, always charming, humorous and in the center of attention, but nowadays… they do not understand his determination, the reason he is so obsessed with his studies. They try to discourage him from continuing but he won’t. He’d rather be all alone than to die surrounded by family knowing he could have prevented so much future pain. ===Sometimes, when he hits dead end after dead end in his research and depression sets in, he wonders whether what he is doing, if he’s lost sight of his goal, if he’s still sane. Yet at the end of the day he picks himself up, plasters another kind smile onto his face and meets the world head on. | == |
