Biography
“Care to explain your backstory?”
“Um, sure?”
“Great! Whenever you’re ready.”
“…”
“Star!” Her mother cried. “Hurry up! We’re going to leave any minute now!”
Grumbling, Star stood clumsily to her feet and left out the tent her and her parents slept in. The rising sun was half blocked by the clouds, so it was still pretty chilly out. There was a small breeze in the air, moving the young Skydancer’s dark blue feathers subtly to the right. There was a faint scent hanging in the air, but she couldn’t tell what animal it was when she sniffed the air.
She looked around, spotting her mother a second later. She was helping a neighbor take down their tent, looking agitated. Star wondered why.
“Star.” her mother ordered suddenly. Star perked up. “I need you to go collect berries. We have a long trip ahead of us.”
“I won’t let you down!” She said cheerfully, trying to lighten her mother’s mood. Instead, she just gave her a tired glare. Her mood also deflated a little.
“Okay..” she said, turning to walk out her little makeshift village.
“And come back quickly!”
“Okay!”
