B I O G R A P H Y

Shadowsong never really understood the concept of... family. Stolen from her nest when she was just an egg yet, she hatched into a band of mercenaries with... well less then ideal morals. Raised in a cutthroat world, she watched many of her 'nestmates' die during training. Luckily, Shadowsong had a knack for violence, able to make swift decisions in battle, and glide silently behind a target.

One night, she was sent to take out an Astronomer, his only crime had made the leader of the band's mate jealous. Softly padding up behind him, Shadowsong was met with a soft "Why hello there", as the dragon kept his eyes fixated through his telescope. Surprised as his agile hearing, Shadowsong dove in for the kill, only to miss as he turned to focus on a new cluster of stars. Repeated attempts followed until eventually Shadowsong gave up and sighed, "Ugh, just let me kill you". Surprisingly, he paused, startled, having not even realized her attempts.

"Oh, um, sorry?" he shrugged, going back to gaze at the sky. "...want to see a nebula?"

"...fine."

After a long night of stargazing and casual silence, Shadowsong realized this was the most company she had ever kept. Vowing to leave the mercenary band, and to find minimal kinship at the littlest, she whispered, "I'm not going to kill you anymore."

"I know. You can stay with me."
