Hinata isn't originally from Acora, rather he's a portal hopping kitsune from Remnant. In his hometown, however, he and his sister were part of the Lotus Pear group. It was a small kitsune settlement near the sea. Hinata misses his hometown, but he refused to let his sister travel alone.

Now in Acora, Hinata and his sister found themselves in the small town of Bouldercrest. It resides in a valley at the base of a divine mountain. Other than working with portals, Hinata had a lovely flower garden at home. He helps Frei with maintaining his fields and transporting the crops to other counties. Hinata's ability has allowed Bouldercrest to have a second source of outside income, as, in the past, donations from temple goers were how they made money.

Wherever Hinata goes, Daichi follows. He's a pipe fox and has spent most of his adult life as Hinata's companion. He's a small little guy, preferring to ride on Hinata's back rather than walk. What Daichi lacks in motivation to move, he makes up in songs and stories.
