The notebook is nearly full — Seralen’s artefacts are sought-after all over less-than-reputable circles around Sornieth. His services are mostly used to place specifically chosen curses onto an enemy’s jewellery, or to make a dragon’s decor or outfit stand out amongst an especially fancy crowd. Some dragons have had weapons or armour enchanted to make them more durable, or even to expel magic such as fire or wind.
Seralen always signs his work, despite the difficulties that come with associating with the criminals who buy or trade for his artefacts. This is why he dwells in the canopy. When the dragons of the lone tower confer with the dragons of other clans, it would be much harder to be on good terms with clans who have suffered because of requests that have been forged by Seralen. At least the artefact trade brings in good money.
