Ganymede

Ganymede hatched alone in the Sunbeam Ruins, near the shores of the inland sea. His nest was empty, with no sign of what had happened to his parents, and the hungry hatchling had wandered down to the shore, chasing bugs and investigating small crabs. The very first other dragon he saw was still in an egg, and Ganymede watched curiously as Lazuli hatched. He promptly adopted his fellow youngster as a brother, and the pair still claim that relationship today, though they often wander separate ways for a time. If Lazuli is ever in need, however, Ganymede will swiftly be there to defend his little brother.

The pair were found by Atticus on one of his flights, just before they could wander obliviously into Shadow, and were brought back to the Windswept Plateau to join the swiftly-growing Tribe of the Windborne. Quiet and contemplative, but quick to action when the situation calls for it, Ganymede is a level-headed young dragon with a calm disposition and a tendency to go with the flow. He gets along with most other dragons and doesn't like to make waves. When he makes up his mind, however, he's as unyielding as steel, come hell or high water.
