Astor was born the oldest of three. Despite spending lots of time with her siblings, Astor always felt disconnected from them - while they practiced the art of combat, Astor spent her childhood taking naps under trees and picking flowers to bring to her mother. Astor was close with her mother; despite the Bogsneak's innate fighting talent, she was nothing but supportive of her daughter, helping Astor sneak out of training. Once the three children grew to adulthood, however, Astor's mother decided her time at the clan had come to end, and that she could put her talents to better use serving the Shadowbinder. Astor and her siblings cried to their father, Morrow, and implored him to convince their mother to stay, but Morrow had already made up his mind - this was the most honorable path for their mother to take. Astor couldn't believe it, even when her siblings eventually agreed with Morrow. Instead, Astor turned her back on her father, dedicating her life instead to tending to her mother's favorite flowers.
