seasonal specialist

North is in charge of all the seasonal holiday cooking and baking. Roasted or rotisserie birds, crowns of rack of lamb festooned with cranberries and candied oranges, baked hams in honey and maple syrup; platters of roasted vegetables with rosemary, tureens of squash soup with toasted pumpkin seeds and curry, fantastic bowls of salad with butter lettuce and heirloom tomatoes and candied pecans; and of course, desserts: Gianduja's infamous chili-cinnamon chocolate pudding, the ever-popular pumpkin and pecan pies, jellied cranberry sauce over vanilla bean gelato, chestnuts roasted over an open fire, and more varieties of cookies than properly fit in the lair.

He takes particular pride in his raspberry-almond linzers, though.
