Vissla

Vissla guides dragons around and through the Hewn City with her glowing beacon, its light chasing away the gloom and fog, preventing it from digging into their bones. She grew up in the Sunbeam Ruins, her clan located in the Mirrorlight Promenade, and spent some years travelling Sornieth. Taught from an early age to harness the Light inside of her, she is adept at controlling the gentle glow that emanates from her body; able to light up large areas in warm light, she’s a master at chasing away the gloom of the Hewn City and lulling those afflicted with Shade to sleep.

Vissla arrived with Daligfaste from the Tangled Wood. Though she would never admit it, she still isn’t really sure about Dalig’s motives for attaching himself to her in the sticky way that he has - sometimes, a prickle runs up her neck when the glint of his smile becomes a little too sharp as he watches her go about her day. And yet, Vissla would never part from him. Their time travelling through the Tangled Wood - his eyes meeting hers, glassy with fever, desperately pleading for help without words as his stained hands reached for her - has made it hard to imagine life without him.


She met her first love Jasper just as she began her travels, and for a time they journeyed and discovered the world together. After making a home in the Scarred Wasteland, Vissla began to crave the exhilaration of travel once more. Jasper, wanting a solid hearth to put roots in, left as well. They parted amicably and with love in their hearts - both wishing the best for the other.
