Dogwood
Matron and Councilor

Found alone amongst the trees as a young hatchling, Dogwood was brought back to the clan and named by the matriarch herself, Fauna. She was the first of many dragons to be welcomed whose appearance mimics the forest they call home. As she grew older, Dogwood very much admired Fauna, seeking her guidance.

For many months, Dogwood was content to mate with a handsome male and produce a healthy crop of young trees for the clan. As is the custom, nearly all the new born trees are sent off to find new homes in other clans, helping to spread a little Nature where ever they might go.

Eventually due to her maturity and the fact that she had been around longer than most of the others, Dogwood became the one that new mothers would turn to for advice. Slowly she blossomed into her role of Matron, as a Mother of the clan. Others seek her out for her knowledge of dealing with young hatchlings, and she often spends her days watching over the nests and babies with a loving eye.

Now that her previous mates have all moved on, Dogwood is ready to only lay her own nests on rare occasions, perhaps at the beckon of a handsome visitor to the clan.
