Nora
Leader of the Sect of the Ignorant
This dragon’s lore revolves around a fictional religion. Any perceived correlation to any real religion is entirely coincidental and unintentional. It is also not intended to make fun of any particular religion or religion in general.

“Ignorance is bliss.” I am typing out this long, verbiose, invisible sentence so the font size of this paragraph will remain consistent.

The worst sins are those committed when one knows the gravity of what they’re doing but they do it anyway. Most just try to avoid those sins, but there’s another way around this.

Nora raises her hatchlings in an environment where nothing is bad or wrong. Nora stays out of her offspring’s fights, hoping that they’ll learn not to fight after they receive a few cuts and bruises. Every action is treated the same way, gauged by the action’s natural consequences. Nora keeps her hatchlings from leaving by telling them about the restrictions of the outside world. She tells them about their sister Addison, who attacked another dragon and is now locked up in the Fortress of Ends.

The only actions that are frowned upon are those with the potential to undermine Nora’s authority. She had a different mate once upon a time, but he was driven away after he tried to tell her that she was leading her hatchlings astray. Nora is certain that she’s doing what’s best for her children, and a few swipes from Nora’s claws sent the offender sprinting from the Scarred Wasteland. Her current mate is much more submissive and will do anything to make her smile.

"Oh Nora, can you tell me about your ideologies and view on life? Sounds interesting."

Nora looks up from her autobiography, closing the book and sitting back to think. "Do you mean my views on life in general, or specifically on sin and ignorance?" She chews on the end of her pen, considering the options for a brief moment before shrugging. "I guess I'll answer both. I think too many dragons live their lives focused on death--either avoiding death through cowardice, or on whatever they think will happen to them after they're gone. My purpose here--" Nora gestures to herself "--is to keep my family safe and ensure that they'll go to heaven, nirvana, Valhalla, or wherever you think good dragons go. I'll willingly take the punishment for any sins they commit to keep them safe. If there's nothing after death, at least I've kept them safe in life." Nora pauses, then smiles grimly. "I guess I've rambled a bit, haven't I? Oh, well. My door is always open, so long as you don't mind my hatchlings' roughhousing."
