Determined, angry, hotheaded and sarcastic. Katla is best friends with Maleficent, whom she will protect with her life. Afraid of being idolized, Katla treats everyone with the same fire, anger and hate. Holding everyone at an icy distance except for Maleficent.

"You pain in the wing!" I shriek at the Skydancer standing beside me. Gale is literally the worst. She just marched in here one day, complaining that her last groups tactics were too violent, and Adalinda gladly welcomed her in, even assigned her the role of commander! Now, here she is, glaring at me, arguing again with my tactics. She doesn't even report to me. "Why don't you go criticize Diana about her tactics!" I snarl, snapping my teeth at the infuriating green and gold patterns along her neck, wings and face.

"I'm just stating the facts you little freak." Gale's voice is calculated and calm, and it just digs deeper under my scales. "The last three missions under your command have all resulted in multiple dragons deaths!"

"YOU STUCK UP GOOD FOR NOTHING PEICE OF BOILED CABBAGE!" I lunge at Gale, throwing her off balance.

"YOU OVERGROWN HEAD OF LETTUCE!" Her cool, collected voice vanishes in a second and next thing I know, I'm pinned underneath her. I struggle, but it's useless. Gale's larger than me, and she's had training from some of the best in the Rebellion. She bends her head down, so her teeth are dangerously close to my neck. Oh, come on Maleficent, where are you. "I don't care if you out rank me. I don't answer to you, or anyone else here for that matter."

"Not even your precious Diana?" I interrupt her. I know it's a stupid move, but I've got to distract her enough to wing her in the head and get out.

"No one! Now don't you forget that. One more little slip up, and there might just be an, Unfortunate Accident." It's hard to ignore her emphases on the last two words. As if to demonstrate what this accident might be, Gale snaps her teeth at my throat. There's no mistaking her motion. One slip up, and she rips out my wind pipe.

"ENOUGH!" A voice bellows, and Gale is thrown off me. She pulls herself off the ground, and rubs her rib cadge. Egan unrolls himself from a ball and stands up. He's Adalinda's right hand man. Her best friend, and not to mention her mate.

"Katla, Gale that's enough." I turn my head to see Adalinda. She walks into the scene like a queen. Her wings back, shoulders back, head high, tail swishing along behind her. Even though she's only as big as me, she carries herself in a way that makes her look as big as Diana, a full grown Imperial. And her goldenrod, coal and steel colours with her lightning blue eyes make her look regal. "I'm sick of you two fighting. Gale, here we take care of each other, it's not every dragon for themselves, and Katla, you're a General, my second in command. I can and will take that position away if you can't get your temper under control. I'm sure Maleficent would step up to your duties if it were needed. Now, go back to your shelters, both of you. Your grounded from your duties for a week. I'll have Maleficent fill in for you Katla. Gale, I'm sure Diana will get along fine without you. Now get out of my sight!"

Gale storms off towards her tent, flicking her tail angrily behind her. "Katla," I pull myself off the ground and get ready to face Adalinda's fury. "I'm sick of you two fighting. As punishment for your actions, you will be spending a summer at Lake Summer Camp."

"But what about Gale?" I gasp, hating how I sound like a baby.

"That is none of your concern, now go pack your bags."
